  • respect life meeting

Come be a part of our CPOP Respect Life Apostolate.  We will meet once a month to coordinate our Pro-Life activities.  God calls us where we are to MAKE A DIFFERENCE!  Let’s work together to make a difference in Manchester and surrounding areas. Please join us every 3rd Wednesday from 8:45-9:45 am in the CPOP Meditation Room.

Our involvement in the efforts of the Archdiocesan Pro-Life Office includes:
    • Blessing of Expectant Families the 1st weekend of January, April, July & October
    • Roses for Life for those expecting a baby, awaiting an adoption or waiting to be blessed with a child
    • First Saturday rosary starting 4:30 pm
    • The spiritual adoption program
    • Various other means to defend and protect unborn children in danger of abortion and to promote a general respect for life.

For questions please call: Marsha Henning - 636-698-8963 or Susan Nowak - 636-394-0272.

  • Blessing of expectant familes

First weekend: January, April, July and October.

There will be a blessing of expectant families, including those awaiting the adoption of a child on these weekends.  St. Gerard, patron of expectant mothers, holy cards are in the vestibule for you to take home. To help us identify the expectant families in our parish, there is a stand with two shelves of roses by the Mother of Perpetual Help icon. The bottom set of roses are for families to take and write their names on the card, then place the rose in the top vase. All of Christ, Prince of Peace parishioners can then pray for these expectant families throughout their pregnancy and delivery. Please feel free to take y our rose home after your child has arrived.
  • Naming & Commendation rite

    January

The Naming and Commendation Rite is for all parents who have lost a child due to miscarriage, stillbirth, accident, or abortion. We are pleased to announce that we will host a Service for the Naming and Commendation of an Infant Who Died Before Birth in January on a designated Saturday immediately following the 8:00 AM Mass which we encourage you to attend.

Many families who have experienced the death of a child before birth did not have an opportunity to acknowledge the reality of that little life, identify the child by name, or commend him/her in faith to the loving mercy of God, the Creator. Recognizing the need for closure and healing in these difficult and sensitive situations, the Church provides this ritual to assist parents and family members with their grief and help them deepen their faith in God. All are welcome!

Please email Fr. Chris at cdunlap@cpopschool.com or call 636-391-1307 with questions or to register. For more information & explanation of this Rite, dates & locations it's being offered, click HERE.

  • PRAYER VIGIL AT PLANNED PARENTHOOD

Prayer Vigil at Planned Parenthood Pregnancy Center Fairview Heights, IL

A PRAYER-VIGIL outside Planned Parenthood Pregnancy Center. We need at least two parishioners per hour, walk outside of Planned Parenthood Center, praying and holding pro-life signs. Our prayer-vigil is a Pro-life witness to all who work at the Center, drive into the Center and drive by the Center. A Pro-life mobile unit is available on site for women who decide NOT to go inside the Planned Parenthood Center but to receive an ultrasound and counseling from Pro-life counselors. Sign-up will be available in the CPOP vestibule.

    40 Days for Life

Prayer cards will be on the pews for parishioners to pray.

  • biking for babies

    July 2025

WHAT IS BIKING FOR BABIES?  Like you, we want to give bold witness to the goodness of human life, yet we know how fear and feeling alone can hold us back. Biking for Babies helps you find community and become a joyful advocate for human dignity through Christian formation, pregnancy center support, and charitable cycling.

HOW DOES IT WORK?  We know culture renewal cannot happen without short-term and long-term impact. So we focus on forming young adults in Christian awareness that each and every life is an unrepeatable gift worth celebrating and protecting. Then, we partner with pregnancy resource centers who provide direct care for women and families in need. As the young adults train and ride, they raise awareness and financial support for the women and families served by America’s pregnancy resource centers.

The pinnacle of their formation is the National Ride (six-day, 600 mile cycling routes across the nation), and five of our nine teams will converge in St. Louis, ending at St. Joseph Parish in the month of July! Come out to this family-friendly event for free food, raffles, a Kid Zone, and inspiring testimonies from a generation who wants to renew the culture!

This event is co-hosted and supported by CPOP Respect Life Apostolate and CPOP Knights of Columbus.
